Qualification & Experience : Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Information Technology and related field with 8-10 years' experience in IBM Websphere Application Server Or National Diploma (NQF6) in Information Technology and related field with 13 -15 years' experience in IBM Websphere Application Server Or Senior Certificate (NQF 4) with 15 years’ experience in IBM Websphere Application Server Ability to : Derive business requirements in order to produce required architectural designs for the IBM WAS environments and ability to support and maintain the solutions in the various landscapes. (3/4) Knowledge of : 1. IBM Websphere Application Implementations (3/4) 2. IBM Websphere Application Administration (3/4) 3. Java (2/4)

Skills

1. IBM Websphere Application Server (3/4) 2. Identifying and using a variety of complex tools and new technology to improve systems and delivery of services (2/4) 3. Integrating applications using integration middleware (2/4)

Job Requirements

1. Administrative / maintenance tasks for IBM Wbsphere Application Server 2. Analyse and make recommendations about improvements to WAS architecture, implementations, procedures and associated area's practice 3. Contribute to the optimum utilisation of org. resources, advising on effective planning and development of area of specialisation resource plans 4. Develop a single practice area in alignment with operational activity and procedural frameworks and ensure tactical implementation 5. Draw on own technical or professional expertise, knowledge & experience to identify & recommend tactical solutions to defined problems in practices 6. Integrate business information, compare, analyse & produce reports to identify trends, discrepancies & inconsistencies for decision making purposes
